The skull of a man murdered in July 1982 by Guatemalan soldiers as they swept through the Maya highland village of Tabil. Eighteen people in the village were assassinated by the U.S.-backed soldiers and buried in two mass graves. In 1997, the Catholic Church helped the villagers exhume the bodies, identify the remains, and rebury them properly.
