Ena Zizi is pulled alive on January 19, 2010, from the rubble of Haiti's devastating earthquake, one week after the city was reduced to ruins in a matter of seconds. The 70-year old woman was rescued from the collapsed home of the parish priest at Port-au-Prince's Roman Cathedral Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption by members of a Mexican search and rescue team, several of whom were in tears as they pulled the woman free from tons of rubble. She suffered from dehydration, a dislocated hip and a fractured leg, and was taken by helicopter to the U.S.S. Bataan for treatment. She told an interviewer she stayed alive by talking with God.
