Refugees in Greece
Refugees on a beach near Molyvos, on the Greek island of Lesbos, on October 31, 2015. Part of a boatful of refugees that just arrived from Turkey, they were received by local and international volunteers, then proceeded on their way toward western Europe. The boat was provided by Turkish traffickers to whom the refugees paid huge sums to arrive in Greece.
In addition to wearing a life preserver, the girl has pieces of Styrofoam taped to her body.
