Following an October 8, 2005, earthquake in Pakistan, international aid organizations responded quickly to the needs of thousands of affected families. Here a Pakistan Army helicopter is used to ferry relief supplies provided by Church World Service/Action by Churches Together to the remote village of Gantar. The quake measured 7.6 on the Richter scale and killed more than 74,000 people in northern Pakistan.
